Thumbs up New ET & 60" times on Nitto's, Good and Bad night at the track

Hey,

New Low ET tonight: Ran a 12.31 @ 108.71 with a 60' time of 1.71.

Those Nitto drags are really hooking up.

Forgot the bad news, 3 rd pass, broke my driveshaft as soon as I launced. Thank goodness for a JL Driveshaft loop, could have been worse. Called a Rollback to come get me and take my truck to the dealer. ( Kyle, why don't you live closer??) I did wipe my painted numbers off. My local dealer is going to be in for a surprise in the morning.

PS: Guess what??? Going to FFW in Orlando this weekend, thanks to a very gracious friend of mine, who is saving me lots of money, Chauffeuring me around, free lodging. I did have to get a plane ticket, but it didn't cost that much. See you guys this weekend...

Maybe I can get to go to the NMRA races the following weekend as cheap I hope, any good leads?

DL

Hey richard,

I was so close to 12.20's, It was about 8:30 PM when my driveshaft broke. The track was open until 11:00 pm, Man I missed my opportunity for some even cooler air.

Hurry up and move to FL, so I can come visit you on FFW and NMRA race events..

I'm sure you'll be faster than me soon..

I know the feeling, on my only good run the other week I had that 1.69 60 foot, when it shifted 2nd it hit the rev limiter and jumped due to the traction bars unloading. I still had a 12.41. I know that was a hellofa good pass if it had went better, plus we were in 20mph head wind!! Im sure this weekend, if the rain holds out, will be better!!

You break it right at the rear yoke?

Cool

David,

Congratulations on your new best Man, when you get those JLP headers installed you just might join the 11 second club Sorry to hear about the driveshaft but glad you had a ds loop! or it could have been ugly!

BTW - If I know you - you will get the driveshaft work covered under warranty (I''m jealous)

DL: Great times, sorry about the driveshaft.

I am going up to see JL today to get a more aggressive street program. Also picking up Charlie's old 15" slicks. This should help out with my quest for a 11sec run with the stock exhaust.

Thanks guys,

Free, I can't say on here

Hey Tommy,

That's cool, JL will take care of you. You'll be in 11's real soon.

I ran this time with a stock convertor. Need to check my pinion angle with my 2" shackle drop, maybe that's what caused me to break a driveshaft?

Some people at the track said, When I launch, my rearend wheels seemed to go side to side??

thanks

WooHoo! What did I tell you yesterday? 12.29 if you cut a 1.71. What did you do LIFT at the end? Love that mph as well.

Next up, dropping the sway bar and traction bars. LOL BTW, hope your "buddy" can take care of you.
