Mine got JACKED by the dealership that sold me the truck.

(along with the CD cartridge, and the Tonneau cover)

I know the dealer sells them, but I was kinda looking for something a little more . . .um. . .aftermarket.

The OE ones are kinda plain.

Anyone?

Sorry.. I'm just a little confused.
I thought that all Lightnings came with regular mats that said F-150 on them. At least those are the mats that came with mine.
Are you saying that Lightnings originally come with mats that say "Lightning" on them and the dealers take them?
If the 01 Lightnings were supposed to come with mats that said "Lightning" on them, then I got jacked too.

 

I test drove about seven L's before I bought mine. ALL of them had Lightning floor mats. One of them had a really cool embossed black vinyl/leather/pleather set (no doubt aftermarket). I bought mine used, so I kinda expected it to be 'cleaned'. It's shocking that you bought yours new and got jipped.

Regular F-150 floor mats were in mine new, also. A friend from work bought his new with regular floormats in it as well. Both are '01s and were bought at different dealerships. None of the new Ls I looked at prior to buying had anything but the regular mats either. I would wager that almost every new L has the regular mats unless provided by the dealership where purchased as a perk or for an extra charge.

Did you test drive 01 lightnings?
Were the lighting embroidered mats an option that I hadn't seen before?
My lightning arrived at the dealer only a few days before I bought it. I would be very supprised if the dealer swapped the mats with plain F-150 ones. But I wouldn't put it passed them.

Did anyone else get "Lightning" embroidered mats with their new 01 lightning?

If you did, please let me know. I know a person at the dealer that I can b!tch at.
