After 10 years sure maybe your front clip will look awesome, but everything else will likely be falling apart. Whats the point?
At some point you buy something then never use it because it will get messed up, just doesnt make sense.

Im not knocking your desire to take care of your vehicle, it just strikes me funny that some people go so far out of the way as to make their vehicle look like crap in order to protect it. Kinda like the people that put plastic over their couches and keyboards. Damn, sit on it and when it gets old get something else.

Well I have a bedrug, but not really for what protection it affords the truck, but what it does for what I carry. It also prevents stuff from sliding around nearly as much, which I like alot.
As far as seat covers go, I would only get them if I was planning on getting in the truck nasty often. Since my job doesn't require me to get muddy or greasy, I again, see no sense in it. I've only been gross once and that was after putting in the shift kit and I just put a blanket and towel down over the seat and then took them out as soon as I was clean.
Heres what I've seen happen with bra's:
The paint does not fade with the rest of the vehicle, so you get a two tone paint job if you ever take it off.
Water and grit gets behind it and ends up sanding down part of the paint
With a ventshade, I've seen the wind cause them to buffet and touch the paint and wear a spot down.
I already said I don't care if someone chooses to do this, but I stated my opinon anyway just as the rest of you did. And I am sure there are plenty of people on here that would agree with me. Doesn't mean I dont take care of my stuff, but I do so in other ways.
Everyone on here should realize that regardless of how fast you drive you can avoid rock chips by not following closely to anyone else. Bugs are soft compared to the rocks and do not cause the damage road debris can.
But then again I'm not looking to maintain a show truck. My L is my daily driver and I love it for that, it's not the best handling or fastest vehicle I own. (But it does get the best gas mileage of anything I have, if you can fathom that one) On that note I may get a geo metro or some other POS to drive around in when it gets near winter in Maryland. I just moved there and must admit that driving year round in atlanta is no big deal as there is no snow and no salt.....
Engine pic of fastest vehicle I own.
