I don't make enough power to hurt them, so they will do just fine. Its all those other "bad trucks" that need to spend the Big Bucks for traction. I can only expect to continue my 1.69 60 fts till I can afford to run with the big boys....

Thats what I was thinking too. I was looking at the pictures of them and they are thin steel mounted to the spring, so I was wondering if they'd hold up. Jay's have a er, 2x2 or so sqaure going up to the spring mounting plate, not just the thin piece.

Yep thin 1/4" steel plates with a 2" lip. May not hold up but nothing a piece of angle won't cure a still a lot less than the others. Lakewood's been around long enough for me.

Don't try to talk Andre out of doing this, he's not one to listen to reason until he breaks it himself.

Yeah, listen to Sal. He know what hes talking about. Leave me alone, after I break them I will let you know how bad they are. Then all you big boys will feel better about spending your hard earned money (silver spoons and all) on the expensive stuff.

Hey Sal, remember my $6.00 clamps that got me a 1.69 60 ft? I junked them too, hehehe.

I'm not trying to knock'm, I'm just saying that others may want to wait to see if they hold up. Trying to save money dosn't help if you have to keep buying new $100 ones.

Just so you guys will know, I have tried them all except for the CalTracs and Ranchos. I do this just for the heck of it. I got into this mode by buying a 1999 Lightning in June of 1999 and there wasn't anything out there to help make it better. Its just my nature to try'em all. There are 62 members in our club and they all can't afford "The Best" but will get by with "It's Works" and if I can contribute in anyway to this club I will. Sal and I were just having some fun, something we do alot, keeps him sane
I will let everyone know about the Lakewoods though, and from what I see so far, they "Will Work"

SeeYa!

Cool

Andre,

Shouldn't the neoprene bumper have a little distance between it and the spring? Will this cause any problems or noise during daily driving? Thanks.
