Try using a hair dryer on it and gently roll the adhesive off with your finger.

Regular rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) will do the job nicely. Use a little bit on a soft rag and then clean or hose off with water. Be sure to re-apply wax to the area.

WD40 or Goo-Gone.

Wash and wax the area afterwards.

Goo-Gone will work nicely. Let it sit for 30 seconds or so and it will dissolve the adhesive as well as rubbing alcohol. I don't think it is as harsh as alcohol. I have used all the above products with pretty much the same results.

Agree all of the above mention products will work well and like was said too be sure to wash and wax that area right away also.

I keep a can of the water displacement formula forty around to clean up all kinds of stuff off of the truck's paint; adhesive, bug splatter, road oil, etc. . Works great.
