4/6 is a bit extreme for an L, 2/4 is pretty sweet. just my oppinion though to each his own.

This is a 2/3 drop.

If you want to go lower (and handling is not important to you)
then I would suggest an air bag system on all four wheels.

All the sport truck mag's have listings for companies who make them.

I lowered my L 3/4 using parts from Aim Industries.

www.truckn.com

I used their f-150 3" lower control arms for the front and in the back I used f-150 shackles and hangers. This setup works awesome, some of the things you will have to deal with is shortening the rear swaybar endlinks and puting shorter shocks in the rear.

You may also want to consider c-notching the frame for added travel. It all depends on the roads you drive on, if they're smooth you should be fine. I just added AIRRIDE air springs to the back to firm it up a little now I don't have to worry about bottoming out.

As far as handling goes, the truck can hold the corner longer than I can.

I am still kicking around the airbag idea. Not sure if i want to put the L through the cutting and what not involved though.

The air bags I'm using are in addition to the standard rear suspension. They are only used to level out the truck when I have a load in it. It didn't require any cutting or welding, just a couple of holes drilled. They come as a kit, but make sure you get the one for lowered applications. The nice thing about them is that at the track I can preload the one side, it helps with launching.

Check out www.4wheelparts.com that's where I got mine. Look for Airride in the suspension area probably under helper springs. They're about 200 bucks but are worth it if you plan on lowering your truck and still using it as a truck.
