High School guys and their WS6's...

Well I was leaving the doctor today after getting a piece of metal taken out of my eye, stopped at Amoco for some gas and here pulls up a car full of people in a very nice new WS6 Trans Am Black and all cleaned up(Sunny & 71deg here in Richmond today so I guess he skipped school to clean it and go riding). The car still had 30 day tags on it.

Two dudes in the front and I guess thier dates/girlfriends in the back. Im pumping gas on my crutches with a red eye in pain and looking like A$$. I hear them say something smart to thier girls when they get out (My wreck has mellowed me out to not say stuff back) so I just continue to do what I was. When they come back out I say nice car to the driver and he says, yeah it is and you cant beat or afford it?? In my head I was like this kid dosent know much huh? So Before he gets in I say, Id like to run one sometime, this stock truck is suppose to be close to them in the 1/4. He says how about right now, I smile inside and say sure let me finish up here...

Needless to say we get on the interstate, stop and I told him when your ready you go and Ill go after you. He says ok and they all start to laugh. He takes off and before I got into 2nd I was beside him playing with him waveing bye bye.... I slow down after putting many cars lengths on him, i am going 15mph under the speed limit now. Hw wouldnt pull back up beside me....

Oh to be 16 again, have no worries and have mommy & daddy pay for it all... Wait a min, that never happened, I had a car payment since I was 16!!! LOL

I am a teenager as you guys know and would normally defend them. But when guys have nice cars like a WS6 and have a ****y attitude like that I dont defend them. What a stupid comment, "you cant beat or afford it?" how the hell does he know what you can and cannot afford and what a dumbass for having a car like that and not knowing what a lightning is!
Good kill, put him in his place. And he wouldnt even pull up to say good run, HA!

later
joe

Edit:
"But when guys have nice cars like a WS6 and have a ****y attitude like that I dont defend them"
I didnt mean that i dont defend guys with WS6s(sure its a pontiac but its a nice car). its more the ****y attitude thing. sorry that didnt come out right

Good Kill!! Must be something about kids and their WS6s in Richmond. I used to live their 2 years ago. I had a 99 Cobra then. I was just driving around one day and these kids in a new black WS6 are going the other way. They look over as they pass and then I hear brakes squealing and notice that they are turning around by trying some kind of Rockford Files move. They pull out in front of another car almost causing an accident and then do a ricer fly-by to me waving and beeping. They turn around again and then do the same thing again. We were on a busy road and they were weaving in and out just so they could fly by me. I headed out to 64 going toward Goochland and they followed. They pulled alongside on the on ramp so I punched it. I don't know what gear he was in but I think he tried to downshift and missed a gear. I was a couple of car lengths ahead when he got going but he could never catch me. I slowed down but before they caught up to me they pulled a u turn and left.

Nice kill Richard, I meant to email you the other day when you said something about your eye. It is always better to go ahead and get metal taken out before it rust in the eye. Make sure you follow up with the doctor to keep the inflammation down.

Richard:

I'm an ol' cuss by most standards(ask Rusty), but I would'a jumped all over him too .

Btw, I bot a new 1979 WS6--dark, metallic blue with the 'chicken' removed from the hood. This was the last year the 400 ci, high-performance big-block would be produced. Nice car, and I was 40 yrs. old(not a teen-ager )!!

Nice Kill Richard. At 16, you still think you know everything! It pays to theach them a little respect.

We get to do this almost daily with the import guys out here. They will try to race anything. When you out run them by 15 or 20 lengths, they get crazy and use the emergency lane or sidewalk to pass you.

Richard, I too had to get metal taken out of my cornea. I had no idea how it got there.. the only thing i could think of was that i had my face near the Lightning engine when it was on... do you know how you got the metal in your eye?

Sunday when I was cutting my welded emergency brake cable braket off I had some safety glasses that didnt fit me to well on. A spark came in the side and landed in my eye. I could not see it and it took the doc a min to find it as well. In 2 days it had made a rust ring and let me tell you, that makes your eye SENSITIVE to any light!! It feels ALOT better today though...
