Drilling req for Roll-n-Lock, Bedrug?

I'm looking at tonneaus and bedliners. The field is still wide open. Two I'm considering, the Roll-n-Lock and Bedrug, are available at a local dealer. However, he says both of them require drilling holes in the bed to install. Arrgh! Another rusty Ford! I don' wan' no steenkin' new holes in ma bed!

Is this true, or is he just being a Gomer?

thanx.

You should look into the new pace edwards bedlocker. It is electric cover and the bedrug requires no drilling.

i have a roll-n-lock and a bedrug. you have to drill into the plastic side rails, and drill out the plastic wall caps for the exit hoses. no metal drilling

exit hoses?

BBQ,

Roll and Locks have catheters?

May have to rig something up to the Retrax cannister/bladder... or something.

Wink

yep, just some clear tygon tubing on each side to empty the big aluminum trough, that holds the roll up cover. if the hoses get clogged with , ah,, stuff, you will run about 2/10ths slower or something

Snoopy,

Like easterisland said.

I got the pace edwards roll up cover for Christmas. No drilling was required. It just uses some aluminum clamps that attach under the bed rail. I was told that drilling would be required when I ordered it, but man was I glad when it came with those clamps.

Not sure if all their covers require drilling or not.
