Familiar people on your daily drive!

I'm sure a lot of you guys see some of the same people every morning on the way to work. There's this one guy in a red GT who I'd run into at least 2-3 times a week when I had my Accord. He knew he was faster than me so he'd tease the ***** out of me, and play around. I prayed that one day I'd be able to run across him with something faster.

Alas, I buy the L.......ask me how many times I've seen him since....NONE!!!!!!!! But of course, as luck may have it, now that I'm driving the T-bird 3-4 times per week to work, guess who I see every other day now..........THE RED GT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still hot-doggin' thinkin' he owns the roads; I realize this ***** just drives with this taunting almost invincible feeling no matter what he's next to. I know he didn't recognize me, because he never saw me before; the tints on the Accord were illegal also.

Others who are always in a hurry, who I used to run across all the time in the Accord, and have yet to in the truck:

-the riced out Kia something Pizza Delivery car w/a huge TACH & SHift light
-the White Supra on the Turnpike
-the Bearded man in a Green Saturn
-the blonde old woman in a black Alero

K.....done venting, JC

Same thing here...

In fact... whenever I am out with my wife I get all kinds of cars coming upto me... on the tollway I had a Toyota come up to me at 65mph that had the TRD sticker on it. Rev'd it up to impress me and couldn't do a thing about it.

That's was the first time ande there have been countless others with much better challengers.

Go off by myself and it's a sea of VW's...

Go figure

Talking

My Lightning has gotten me out of more races than it's gotten me into.

People always taunt, but when the chips are down and it's time to rock and roll. . . they whimp out. It's like they just want to see if Lightnings are as fast as everyone says they are.

When I'm prowling around looking for a race. . .I can't PAY someone to go for it. They either aren't around or don't want to play.

But let me drive my wife's '01 Ranger to the store and back and it's like the freakin' NHRA Winter Nationals!!!

Go figure.

This is the reason I chipped, air filtered, and dual exhausted
my Supercrew that I drive to work everyday.
I may get my butt kicked once in a while, but I have beaten my
share of wanna be racers with it. All these 5.4's run good if
you play with them a little.
My wife would rather drive my Supercrew than her Explorer
or LS.

Yes, yes, I thought I was the only one... Drive around in my L, come to a stop light and what's beside me? Nothing even slightly significant. BUT, get in my beater Escort wagon, every SUV and ricer in the area seem to be lined up ready to drive circles around me.....Is this some kind of punishment from the gods????

Not driving but I see this girl in the toll booth once in awhile that is just FINE! I don't know how or why a FINE girl like that would be working in a toll booth, but she makes me want to get rid of my Ipass and pay with lots of pennies. I love it when its real hot outside and she's got her shirt opened up and the little fan blowering on her chest! HOT *****, some day I'll take a pic for you guys when I drive up, HEHEHEHEE

Also pretty much like everyday I drive past this guy with a yellow newer (2001?) 911 turbo thats just always dirty and nasty and he drives it in the snow and everything. Someday I'm going to see him coming and pull a U-turn and try and race him. Then when I get done I'm going to get him about 10 bucks to go get his poor 911 washed at turtle wax!

Me too, all though I do not have a fast car/truck yet, I do have my bikes. In my 6banger 5speed truck ever GT, Vet, or what have you are beside me, but on my bike, it's all VW, Civics. I agree with the above statement, it's punishment from the gods. Heck the other day I was broke down on Richmond Rd by old 25, saw a Mustang Saleem, a 2001 Vet, and a 3000gt, all of them punched it knowing I could do nothing about it. Made me madder then he!!, cause there was nothing I could do but wish. Charger went out on the old girl 1990 ZX750R Ninja black/red w/48000 miles on her.

when your heading up I80 towards the I294/94 toll booth, just after the kedize exit, its right when I80 ends and you have to get on the 294. I always see her in the middle booth, but I haven't seen her in about 2 or 3 months now. I haven't used that booth either so that could be the problem, but I'm going to have to start looking for her agian. THO is always nice too.

thanks

I was actually out with the Mustang the other day on I-55 cruising along when I heard a deep sounding car rev its engine at me. I look over and low and behold it's a silver L. (the truck I've been dying to get for months now). We finally got a clearing, and we both nailed it. I put about 2 cars on him pretty fast and I let off because I was getting some detonation. He did hang with me pretty well though. That was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak. I bought my silver '02 about a week later.

No races in the L (yet).

Hey Rtkilla - I work in Orland Park (next to Hooters) and drive the L to work everyday. We should meet up sometime this summer.

Yep... I live in Frisco and that means if I want to go anywhere I gotta use the tollway.

Be cool while you're on it, if you get stopped... I've been stopped twice for speeding and both times they let me go!!!

Not bad huh???

Well thats just the perfect spot then, you must work at the bank then, or maybe you work in the offices behing hooters or something. I don't know, but its right where I like to eat and drink and party with the other boys.

There's going to be another ILLNESS meeting pretty soon so stay tuned and join in on it. Or drop me an e-mail sometimeand we'll get some drinks. Me and RobG are going to get together one of these days (so I can get my roll pan from him, YIPPIE!), at orland hooters. Lately the meat in that place has been improving if you know what I mean. just two weeks ago I was shocked at the tang in there, all A ok with me.
