battery question

Hey Im going to install a complete stereo system pretty soon and I was basically wondering how powerful is the stock battery in the lightning?? I remember back in the days when I had the system in my jeep, when the bass would hit, the lights would dim, and if I had the stereo running for very long without the car on, the battery would be dead...so anyways i was wondering if anyone here has upgraded their stock battery or if it was something i actually need to do? also how much are aftermarket batteries? thanks...

When I bought my system I put in a OPTIMA Yellow top. I got it for 120.00. It has enough power I think for my system and then some.

motoxracer21, from what I understand, replacing the battery with a Optima will prevent that from happening, there was huge thread on it, but, the search is F'd. I would go with the new bat. Easy cheap mod. Keep those mods you have functioning at peak performance
