Radiator

Anybody know if it helps to put distilled water in radiator instead of faucet water. Do chemicals in water cause corrosion.

L iminator,

In a closed system like this there is very little evaporation and mineral deposits are minimal. Minerals in water will vary greatly in different areas but there shouldn't be enough to cause a problem. Distilled water is always better, especially for lead-acid batteries. Add a bottle of water pump lube/rust inhibitor and you'll be in good shape.

Thanks Dennis

Do you know what causes that build-up around the tubes in your radiator?
