Cool New Mod very soon!

I got a new mod to put on my truck. I decide to skip all the crap of an aluminum Cobra R pump and I now have in my hands an Electric Water Pump. All I'm waiting on is the relay kit to come in. I flows 55gph and it has a free spinning pulley on it to take away all the drag on the motor. SWEETTTTTTTT. This should put at least 12 to 15 horsepower at the tires. The parts need to hurry up and get here. I really need to know where to hook up the main power wire so it can run continous as soon as the key as on. Any tuner that knows I would greatly appreciate it.

The electric water pump is novel ....but believe me when I tell you..that you will save no more than 4-5 hp at the rear wheels. The stock water pump only requires 8 - 10 hp to operate it...measured off the crank.

How is a free spinning electric pump only worth 4 to 5 hp when the Cobra pump which still has drag picks up about 5 hp. They have already dyno tested the electric pump on regular Cobra's and it made 13 hp at the tires, so its very safe to say it will make the hp I thought it would. :o

We used the elect. pumps for drag racing only. I believe they are not made for everyday use.The pump motors turn at such high speed that they will burn out in a short period of time.Then..goodbye engine! That is why you do not see them a lot on the street.Unless you are using the truck for short drags or 15 minute drives a day you might want to reconsider.Just my .02

This is very true. We didn't use them on stock cars motors because we were afraid they would'nt last 200 laps.
