3/4 Lowering Kit for 1997 - 2002 F-150 (rear drive)
Price: $ 319.95
(plus $24.00 shipping & handling)
how much would it cost to have installed? I heard something about a C-Notch, what is that? Would I need it? Could I install it in my garage?

A c-notch notchs your frame so the axle does not hit the frame under shock compession. There were some good threads not long ago showing someone putting one on there truck. Not sure if you need one or not with the 3/4 drop, people here can answer that. If you do a 4/6 drop like DJY1's you probably should for sure.
Wonder if i can tuck the 22 bofa's with the 4/6 drop.
THanks again DJY1 i need to start saving all the info i get from you so i don't need to look for it later.

CrazyFoo, When I first installed the Bell Tech 3/4 the rear kept bottoming out. Every time I would go over speed bumps and pot holes the ride was unbearable. So I added a Western Chassis C-section kit. To install the C-section kit you will need a Plasma cutter or a Salsaw and a super strong Drill with good bits. You will have to cut out each side of the rear frame above the rear end. Then drills holes and bolt the C-section kit in simple.

How is daily Driving with the 4/6 drop? Michigan does not have the best roads and i do have a slight angle to my driveway.
I would really like to do that, but worried about the daily driving and tucking the 22's.
THanks again.

Ashenor,
My truck does not have a 4/6 drop my drop is a 4/4. I have to use alot of caution while driving because my front bumper is only around 2 1/2 inches off the ground. The ride is just a little stiffer than stock.
My thoughts with 22 inch rims and tires, you don't need to lower your truck to the extreme because the 22 inch rims will fill out the fender wells and you will still have that lowered look. If I was going to mount 22 inch rims and tires I would go with 2/2 drop kit. Good Luck, djy

StrikesTwice, I live very close to Hawaii Kai 2 Valleys before Hawaii Kai. I live in Niu Valley the second to the last house in the Valley! Are you from Oahu or did you visit the Hawaiian Islands on vacation before????

DJY1, born and raised baby! That's hilarious man, I lived in Niu Valley for about 5 years of my life as a younger kid. I was born on Maui, moved to Oahu when I was 3 with mom and pops, grew up all over the East side on Oahu. Niu Valley, Kalama Valley. Surfed Sandy's and Makapuu religiously. I was just back out there for half of last Summer with two friends. We rented an apartment in Waikiki on Kuhio St. and just surfed everyday, partied every night. Was a blast!
Uhm, holy *****, I think your house is right across the street from my old house. Is the little valley behind you, where you used to be able to go down and buy plants and flowers and what not, and are you on a dead end street? I dunno how long you have lived there, but is there a black lab across from you named Lani girl? I know the dog was there about a year ago, because I visited and she was still there. (we left her there with the new owners when we moved.) It's a long shot, but you never know

StrikesTwice, Small world!!! I live on the next street over Puamamane. Did you live on Halaki st.??? I know exactly what nursery you are talking about Oka's nursery, not there anymore the nursery moved to Waimanalo. I worked there when I was younger. I not sure about Lani the dog cause you lived on the next street over. Did you know the families on the top of the street??? A lot of surfers lived on your street. I was wondering what is your last name it might ring a bell in my head???
Aloha, David Yee

Wow, that is INSANE! I'm not sure if that was the street name, because I was so young, but almost positive, yes, that is the nursery I was talking about. I will ask my mom and dad what the street name was. My name is Ian Ernzer, and my dad's name is Wayne. I'd like to talk some more if you don't mind! My email is logik@belowsurface.com I feel funny going back in forth in the boards
