Great deal on chroming rims!

There is a company that is called Capital Wheels that chromes the Lightning rims. Believe me I have called around about his and these guys seem to be the best. He quoted me at 650 bucks for factory rims, 550 for aftermarket look alikes. Here is the kicker, this includes the center cap!

They need 1200 for the core, but I talked to him and he said that if I just send him the rims along with 650 I would not have to give him a core.

So for 650 bucks plus shipping I gonna do it.

His name is Pete. Here is his E-mail address:

sales@capitalwheels.com

I hope this saves us some money, just mention where you found about this price.

Thumbs up

Yeaup I posted a thread on them a while back. Pete seems real nice and actually about 3 months ago he had a set setting on the floor ready to ship. I think its a fair price and they can clean up minor dings and scratch's before they chrome them.

I have been working the chroming issue for myself too. AAA Rims seems like a quality company, but rims would be over $1000 after shipping. I am kinda leery about Santa Ana, because I posted something awhile back about them and got a lot of negative responses. Got some good ones too. They quoted me $600 plus shipping. I still have not decided who to go through yet, but want to get my rims chromed before summer starts. I think that I will email the guy.

Back in 2000, I got my 2000 Lightning rims from Santa Ana wheels I did the exchange. I have recently sold the 18 inch chrome rims to a friend. The rims have never gave me any trouble and still look brand new. Santa Ana wheels charges around $500. for Chrome Exchange. I think it is how you take care of your rims makes a big difference.

DJY1-

Please refrain from posting pics of your truck on the forum, as I am too jealous! I really, really, really, really, want... no, need chrome rims for my L by this summer. Still trying to convince the wife how necessary they are, though. Maybe for my B-day in May!!!

dchez20, My drop is a Bell Tech 3/4 with Western Chassis 2 inch A-arms. The rear has a C-section done to the frame.
