Is a 255/35/20 on a 20x8 to small for the L?

Would this be a ok setup or is that to small of a rim in the rear for traction?

Thanks

It is an inch and a half shorter...which is not _too_ bad, but will effect your shift odometer reading and stuff. You can get it corrected via a chip.

Check the load rating on those tires, they may not be strong enough for the trucks load.

They are good only for show or a REALLY low L. I had them on mine when I first got 20's. Ruff Ride, no sidewall. Its like a 8.75in wide tire and 26.8 in tall or something. I had the Mich Pilot Sport series tires.

Thumbs up

go with a 20 x10 and put a 295/40/20 on it and you will have 10 inches of tread on the ground. hooks pretty good.

I just had found a pretty good deal on a set of rims with that setup. Was wondering if it was worth it or should just shop around a bit until i find a better setup.

Ashenor,
where did you say you could get the 22's for like $3,700. You said there was a place in the area right? I wanted to go and look around. Thanks for the help!

I got 2 numbers, let me know if you want to go look around i would go.

First place is Tire Clinic, inc
I talked with Gary Kalashyan(President)
(248)681-1900 (877)681-1900

They are in Waterford

Arandas Tire Headquarters
Fernando Lopez
(313)849-1980

That place wrote on my card 295/30/22 pirelli with 22x10 boffa's for $3950 out the door with tax and mounting and all that. He was matching the website i seen that had them for 3700. Tires on those were 305/40/22 though i just told him the wrong ones.

The first place said they would beat any price, i was going to work them a bit between each other. Like say the 2nd place said 3800 out the door with a better tire, then see if the first place would match or beat that.

Anyways let me know if yiou want to go check them out.
