I posted a question back a few months ago about where to buy. I had 1 reply saying Winchester Cole-Ford-Mercury. What about Paul Miller Ford? Are they any count??? (the only other dealer near here that sales SVT's)
A question on service now If I may.....where do you lex guys go for service when you have a problem? (Here's hoping that never happens). I'd really would rather have it serviced where I bought it.

I just picked up my 2002 from Paul Miller. I have had service issues with them in the past, but they ARE the only SVT dealer in town.
I will have to wait to see what they are up to now ... I know one thing ... MOW will never SEE my "L" !!!

I heard that on MOW Ford. I won't gave then the last drop of sweat from my.....(you know what i was about to say here) *S*
I took my 97 F150 V6 for timing cover gasket replacement, they left my parts out in the winter weather for over 3 mouths. Although I will say it got me a new clutch out of it.
So I guess it was you who bought that L they had. It was red..right?? In about 2 - 3 more months I'll be a SVT owner.
Paul Miller said Saturday that they expect another SVT in about a month, but it will be black. Did you pay sticker or did they deal with you on the price. Once again if you don't won't this known please e-mail me.
BTW welcome aboard.

I bought mine out from under another guy that wanted it,
and the only reason I got it was I had the best salesman!
He had the keys and they said I HAD to test drive it ... Hell,
I said I had been waiting for 4 years to buy it, but he insisted.
So the other guy ordered the black L ... maybe that is the one
that they are telling you about ???? I dunno ....
I did almost have to twist their arm to get them to SELL it
to me.... Wouldn't even TALK to me on the phone ... Like
someone walks in and buys one every day ... Sheez ....
I have been burning up the roads on the South End for the
whole weekend ... Toasted a "Z", and looking for mods I
can make ... Added a lighted Hitch Plug that says "FORD"
is about all I have done so far ... And changed the oil at
300 miles ... (get those little pesky particlaes outta there!)
The SVT manual says to break in at varying conditions, wonder
if they really mean 140 mph down N-Ville road ????
LOL
Anyhow ... Here's the beast!!!!

I am in the Louisville area and you might think about looking at Bill Collins Ford. I had no hassle with them. I walked in and asked when their next black L was due in and said I want it and by the way I have the Z plan. They did not bat an eye and I drove my L off the lot 2 months later for around $27.6K. DO NOT go to Star Ford, they would not even listen to me about the Z pan, they were asking $5K over invoice.

I do 140 passes on my bike out in a few of them. Late night of course. *S* Mail if you'd like to know at motorcyclist@hotmail.com

MotorcycleMan,
I highly recommend that you try Cole Ford in WInchester. I may have been the guy who recommended them in your earlier post. They have always treated me really well and went out of their way to help me in any way. I am good friends with the Cole's so I may be a bit biased. To make a long story short, back in 99 when the Gen 2 L's came out Cole Ford beat Paul Miller by over $5000 on an out the door price. Paul Miller is more of a high volume dealer, and Cole is more of a small town family owned business with much less overhead I'm sure. They have always treated me like family from the day I stepped on their lot over 10 years ago. Whenever the L needs service they always make sure I have a loaner car and they have never taken my L for a joy ride. The service manager at Cole Ford has a 99 Lightning also so he knows how us L owners are with our trucks.
I have never bought anything from Paul Miller and I'm sure I never will. I have family relatives who have bought from them and have had bad experiences though. Man O War is the last place I would ever buy anything.
I have a few mods on my L that I'd be happy to show off if you want to meet up sometime when you get your truck.

i would NOT buy ANYTHING from paul miller, i've tried trading in my 00' for a 02' for 3 months, and they offered me 19k$ for trade in!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! This is after they surfed to KBB.com and saw the trade in was 27k. THEN they decided to jack up x plan pricing from what it actually was hoping i didn't know what it was. So stay AWAY from them, they suck!!!!
MOW doesn't sell SVT's and considering it took them 3 days to fix the intercooler, and didn't touch the list of other problems they will not have my business again. They f**ked my girlfriend on her car also. (from selling it to service, its a bad place to deal with)
Cole ford are good people though, and I will be trading mine in there shortly for a 2k2. Their service manager drives a lightning and is VERY familer with them. He now owns a 02, and sold his 99. Very nice guys. My truck is slated to be in their service bay next week sometime for the problems I am having.
I have heard good things about star ford in louisville also but i have never had any dealings with them.
Soooo for what its worth, Cole ford is the place! =) (i've purchase 3 vehicles from them in the past and always had great dealings with them, with the exception of two weeks ago when i had the maypops replaced on the exploder, and wanted an alignment, scheduled appointment and got new tires but aparently the alignment guy was off all week and was off the day i dropped it off. Other than that its been great.
BTW any of you all go racing at clay city??

MotorcycleMan,
You have mail.
Crazyone,
I go to Clay CIty several times a year. I usually go to the street car races that they have there, as well as a few other times a year. There are usually 2-3 other L's there at the street car races.

I have not been to Clay Cite in over 10 years. Raced my bike there all the time. Then I got tryed of changing out the chutches every year, so I stoppped going. The best I did on my Honda CB650SC Nighthawk was a 12.98 at 101mph, and that was without the front tire ever leaving the ground nor the back tire spinning. *S* I've been wanting to take the 750 Ninja there but have not do so yet. Maybe this year. Do you know the hours they have yet for this summers runs???
MM ... I ride all weekend ... out of town during the week,
but you can bum a ride pretty easily ... <grin>
I would love to race this thing, what does it take at Clay City ?
Special Equip????? Etc....
