another stock exhaust tip question

well. i just applied ceramabryte to the stock exhaust tips and wasn't too impressed. i used their application pad. what a POS. anyway, after one week of ownership those stock tips have to go man. any recommendations? I want to eventually get the full bassani system but can i just get the tips for the system and get the rest later when I have more $$$?

also, i looked under the truck around the exhaust tip exit area and noticed two ubolt clamps. will the stock exhaust tips come off if i loosen those bolts or are they welded? i know this has been covered before but search is down and down and down.

thanks.

stock tips can be maintained, but they're a royal pain in the %@$, and I'm unusually obsessive about the appearance of my vehicles. Some guys have swapped the Harley tips onth the L's, but if you're going with the Bassani setup then your problems will be solved.
The two u-bolts were all that held my tips on. I was able to loosen them, remove the tips, and head to a polishing wheel. Bottom line - the coating stinks on these pipes. I checked with JetHot about recoating mine, and I may give that a whirl (when I feel I can do without the truck for a couple weeks). Won't be anytime soon!

Chikenears help me out. what is the difference between the full catback system that sells around $1500 and the one that sells around $650. And don't say $850.

also, those bassani tips are what I'm looking for. are they part of an entire system or did you just install the bassani tips. how much and where? thanks.

Here is a pic of the catback system. The "full system" includes shorty headers and catalytic converters. The factory headers and cats are all you need. The catback is perfect for a daily driver.

Hope this helps.
