clontec the factory finish is paint,ive already spoken to the service writer about a different color

these are powder coated id like something the same color

getting the intercooler changed is a good thing.. here is a picture of my old intercooler. notice the black sludge covering part of it.. its a combonation of oil and teflon from the supercharger!

clonetek - I know Ford has supposedly fixed the intercooler problem but is there still a problem with the teflon comming off the supercharger on the 02 L's? If you know. Thanks.

i'm pretty sure there is.. unless they changed the coating on the supercharger.
maybe one of the guys with a blown 01-02 motor can tell us when they tear down the engine. it would be best if they had 15-20k miles on it...

Here is a quick update on what is happening...
I stopped at the dealer yesterday, and they looked at it. The first thing out of their mouth was "You've got to be kidding me." They looked at it an verified that the coolant level is low, and will hopefully be ordering parts today.
Do I still have the right of getting a free rental car since it is still part of the recall?
