Valet Mode?

For those of you with flip chips, have you ever had a tuner burn a "slow" program for your truck, to be used as a sort of a valet mode, or for rainy weather, like the ZR-1's had? How succesfull was it?

Against my better judgement while staying in a very upscale hotel, I had let them valet my L. When it returned I had smoldering tires and two 17 year old monkey suit wearing pukes by the throat until security removed me! Needless to say, my four day stay was free and they even swept my bar tab under the table, but My L will live with those horrifying memories for ever!

my valet mode won't let you have any rpms, so if you want to go fast, it's going to take a long time waiting on the gears

If you force a shift at 4200 rpm and not allow more that a down shift more than one gear it does wonders at keeping the wife and kids out of trouble. The other thing that helps is keeping the butt rich fuel settings on the top end(open loop) holds the power down. If you realy want to kill the power I bet we could find an easy way to hold the boost control valve open at all times. That would kill the power.

Jim at JDM knows this as a val3 low side.

Hope this helps

Andy
