i recently got a flip plate, so i dont have to take the plate off each time i tow. but the stock hitch was used in the setup, and it could be done at home but i had no welding equipment so i had it done at the local welding shop for about 50 bucks..

let me know if ya want the measurments i used for the fit, no diagrams available but ill try and explain as best i can..

Jim,

Can you send me info on what needed to be done to modify the hitch? I have a welder at home, so I should be able to do it pretty easily. My e-mail address is quicksilver02@earthlink.net.

You're right! It has some people scratching their heads! LOL

I had it custom made at http://www.billetandacrylic.com . Tom Hingle is a good guy to work with if you want something custom made. I had two made actually.
