Black OEM '01/'02 Wheels

Hoping to get these on the Lightning next week sometime.

Powdercoated Black, Painted Center caps, Polished Lip on the wheels. Gonna use the chrome lug nuts for now, should look ok with the polished lips, if not I'll have to get some black ones like I did on my anodozed black Fikse FM\5's I had on my SS.

$500 for (4) 2002 Wheels w/100 miles
$300 for powdercoating
$40 for the paint on center caps
$0 polished the lips myself

These have to be the baddest rims I've seen yet.......I think I like 'em more than you TX!! I would assume your truck is black? If so, a 2/3 drop, black limo tints and you're gonna be SCARING cars from in front of you! Congrats..............PLEEEEEEEEEASE post pics when you are done!

No, mine is a Red '01. I guess I'm going after the 1993 Cobra R look (red w/black wheels)

I've seen one or two 99/00 Lightnings w/Black wheels online, both were on black lightnings.

The polished lip will break the black wheel & black tire, help avoid the nascar look

The SVT can not be painted red (f-ed up one cap trying a while back) the SVT is a sticky chrome insert. Be nice, but I can't do it.
I did remove the SVT caps when the whole center cap was painted, have to epoxy it back on.

Was the clearcoat on the wheels removed first before they were powdercoated?

Hmmm, I wonder what the factory silver painted wheels would look like with polished lips . . .

There's a guy from my area who did that to his red L, the rims aren't AS black, but they look just as nice. I'll try and grab a pic for you fine folks. RXSVT, they look really good man, good call.
