Lightnings needed at Steele, February 23!!!
The Birmingham F-Body Association is hosting a huge grudge racing event at Steele this Saturday, February 23 from 9 AM until 7 PM. All makes and models are welcome and we need some Lightnings out there to balance out all the F-bodies, Mustangs, and imports. We have about 5 supercharged GM trucks coming up from the Mobile area and a local s/c Chevy truck. I hope some of you guys can make it! There will be nitrous and racing gas for sale at the track. Last time the local car clubs got together for something like this in November, we drew 800 spectators and 300 racers!
E-mail me is you need anything- information, directions, etc.
Also, see a copy of the flyer HERE

Thanks for the 'invite' but I'll be at Silver Dollar Raceway.
You may see a 2000 turboed black Trans Am there runnin' in the 11s--that will be cablebandit--Jerry. Say "Hi" to him for me if you run into him--nice guy and he likes Lightnings too.

Dan I am going to the steele gathering. Last time was a hoot just to watch!!! There were a few "L"s as well. I'll try to keep tabs on em and see where you are at. They have really spread the word about this and it should be a blast...racing from 10-7!!!!!!
Cablebandit has made himself quite well-known at Steele with that fast TA
I didn't know you were into Lightnings, Cable... I had a black 2000 Lightning when I joined the BFBA. LOL
I'm seriously considering buying a silver 2002 L when I sell my Tahoe... but we'll see.

Hop on 459 N, then take 59 N to exit 174 (marked "Steele") take a right at the top of the exit ramp, then the first right. That road will veer slightly right again then take you straight into the track... easy as pie
Oh yeah I don't think I've ever had more fun on the street than in that truck! Plus, going to the track and popping off 1.8 short times and 13.1's with $500 in mods was AWESOME
