Need Help-Dyno Questions

Going tomorrow to get dynoed for my pleminary numbers before the mods.
Couple questions-
1-I have a laser thermometor.Should I bring it to get engine temps? If so, what part of the motor do I get the temp from(heads, block etc.)?
2-Should I bring a bag of ice? I do want to get real world #s,but I do get three pulls and thinking of cooling motor on last pull.Is it worth it?If so-Just put bag of ice on top of motor over a blanket? 3 What is the best tire pressure to be at?

I am aware of the third gear and get sae #s.Any other tips would be appreciated.
Thanks . Can not wait.

1.) Lower Intake Manifold
2.) If you really want to and the Dyno operator will allow the cool down time.
3.) Normal street pressure. 32psi makeing sure it is even in both tires.

Yeah, er something...

I just remembered there is a little circle sticking up off lower manifold to the right (could be left, it's been a while since I looked at it) of the blower snout. You can't miss it. It is easy to get the laser to. It also has a water passage below it.

Never heard of the lazar thermometer--what do you need it for? You can get ECT(eng. coolant temps) from your decimal readout.

I plan to dyno for the second time this Fri. hope the cooler(first time was back in July) temps and the ever-changing mods give me some higher numbers. Btw, I wish I had dynoed when stock.

Dan

I will also use the decimal readout. Thanks.
Just trying not to miss anything so when I do start to mod I can have as much data as possible to have good comparison numbers. There is so many variables.Just trying to illiminate as many as possible.
