4th stock plug blew

I was driving home cruisin round 60 when all of a sudden i hear an explosion and this ticking noise. Pull over to only find out that my brand new 2 days old denso iridium plug blew out. This is a b%^& for me cause i just got the 5lb/ pulley and was loving it. Now i have to take out all my mods and stuff. Since the spark plug blew out will that be covered in warranty or not?? Also got some autometer gauges installed recently, do i need to take them out before i bring it back to the dealership????

Question

What year is your truck? How many miles? Who installed the plugs?

Did you use any(what brand/kind?) anti-sieze?

What method was used in tightening the plugs?

Were all plugs installed the same way--see question above?

Sorry to hear about your troubles--hope your info and answers will help others avoid a similar situation.

Dan

Based on your name I am guessing you have a True Blue 02? I would get her TOTALLY stock. I see you had a 5lb pulley, I hope you had a chip with it.....

Unhappy OUCH

Sorry to hear about that hope they fix it under warranty. Better gets all non factory mods off the truck so you don't have any problems with warranty. Well goodluck with your truck. Keep us in touch with what happens with the truck!!

A little confused: The title of the post is "4th stock plug blew" but the message states that it was a 2 day old denso. If you change the plugs and and 1 blows, what will Ford replace it with, another stock one?

I had a mind and body damaging weekend so I might be a little slow on the uptake.

Confused me at first also with the stock plug thing. More than likely plug wasn't torqued down tight enough and blew out the head!! ford will proabably replace them all new after replacing the head unless replacing the plugs will void your warranty?? Hope they do!!

If not read this!!
