Magnaflows: How to order?

What should I know when ordering? I know I want the 14468's, because I've heard them, and they are mean sounding. Plus, they get all the best reviews from the Magnaflow guys on here, as opposed to the other model #'s. I agree that the Bassani sounds better, but, $700 is kinda steep.

1.) The 14468's are universal mufflers. What else will I need to order?
2.) Will they bolt up as direct replacements to the cats?
3.) Do I need an x-pipe?
4.) How bout the piping from the mufflers out to the tips?
5.) Do I have to order tips separately? Worst case, can I just use the stock tips?
6.) Can it be a do-it-yourselfer project, or better off taking it somewhere?

ATTN: TUNERS!!!
7.) If I decide on long tubes and cats from you guys in the future, will THEY bolt up directly to the Magnaflows?

any and all help is greatly appreciated guys!!! Sorry bout the long post.

JC

MiamiWhiteSVT-L,
Yikes..I can't answer all of your questions, but here are a couple or three I can answer:

Call Magnaflow In Santa Margarita CA @ 800/959/9226 or contact them @ www.magnaflow.com

I paid $90 American for the 12468 (with built in X pipe)and it has a great sound. This being the 2in / 2out muffler. Fitting near perfectly and the shoppe had to build the tail pipes.

Sal, had a post a few days back and I understand the Long tubes will work with the cat back systems with limited mods.

Have fun!!

Spike.

I had the 14468 on my Y2K was $129 from huskerperformance.com. running the 14416 on my 2001(2 single mufflers) it does not just slip in when installing the exit pipes are 180 degrees to stock it is a custom fit from muffler back, my guy used as much of stock bent pipe as he could(no X-pipe) and he used the stock tips and it looks like they were never moved. If your muffler guy knows what to do it will look great, but it CAN be FU--ED up. enjoy!!
