SuperCharger Oil Color?

Question SuperCharger Oil Color?

My Supercharger oil has 2000mi. on it and is dark grey almost black....is this normal???

Mine is green, just like the engine coolant. I noticed the book says it should be yellow. WTF.

Check your intercooler coolant level! Doesn't this sound like a leaking intercooler...?

I thought they fixed this shiznit!

How do you check the oil in the blower? Also, should it be changed, if so how often? Thanks for your help.

The blower fluid is a yellowish color when new. However it does darken over time. It's a special synthetic fluid made just for superchargers, and it's designed to last 100,000 miles. Personally I don't trust anything to last 100k miles, but that fluid should be good for easily 50k.

Fellas:

I think he was referring to the oil that is sealed inside the S/C, not the fluid that is in the reservoir. That should be bright green...

I try to read every post I can sometimes takes me awile to get to them all but try every night to get to every one of them page by page since search is down it helps me find something I have missed that might help me or someone else who needs the information!!
