First time at the track in Memphis...

First time at the track in Memphis...
This was my first time racing the truck or racing period. I was able to make two passes and I switched programs in between passes.
The first pass was on the soft program and the second was on the warm weather program. Temp was ~60 degrees and humidty was ~40-50%. On the second pass my boost dumped right before the 1/8 mile as shown by the times.

The second time sucked, but the first wasn't to bad for my first time. I lost the second time to a damn 70's chevy truck that ran a 13.793. The first was against a civic that ran a 15.867. Time to get the boost bypass kit. I ran on the F1's both times.

Great going for you first time out
It looks like you smoked the tires off the line. Be a little more gentle off the line, and get you 60' times down to 1.8 and you will be around 13.2-13.3 whicj sounds right for your mods.

It was nice meet you at the track. Man, what a crowd. It was nice to meet Andy G and see Damon again. Traction was about the worst I've ever see it there.
My first run was a total smokeshow. Once I blow a run I stay in it for the hell of it. I burned all the way through first and halfway through second to run a marvelous 14.05, LOL.
The second run was a partial smokeshow. I burned halfway through first to run a better 13.27.
Here is my final run when the track was starting to come around. I still had to squeeze it to keep it down to a chirp out of the rear tires. I usually cut low to mid 1.9 60' times but there was no way to do that today.

Dang I didnt see this post before I posted on the other one.
Chuck I ran a 13.7 on both of my passes so do you mind if I tell everyone I was faster than you since you ran a 14.05?

Sure go ahead because you sure would have blown my doors off on that pass, LOL.
Look at the MPH on the car in the right lane I was running against. It was a burgundy GT with a Supercharger and who knows what. He was running BFG drag radials but had a sorry 60' time and I don't remember hearing him spin. I looked in my mirror at about half track and he was about 2 car lengths behind me. Right before the finish line he didn't just drive by me, he blew by me. I've had cars slowly catch up and drive by but he wasn't gaining that much at half track. He must have hit the juice or something the way he came on all of a sudden. He was about a car length ahead at the finish line and about 3 lengths by the time we let off. The next thing I know a small piece of black plastic comes out from under the front of his car. A second later a big square piece of black plastic comes out followed by a another smaller piece. I don't know what all that was but I'm glad it stayed on his side of the track. Needless to say he stopped in the turn at the end of the straightaway. I don't know if he went back to get his parts or what. I hope they got them out of the way before someone ran over them at high speed.

I was wondering what that car in the right lane was. That is some serious catching up to blow by you like that. Glad to see you finally broke into the 12s with such horrible traction at the track. Maybe traction will be better Thursday.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, I would be in the same boat with you if I only had the money to get the mods that I am drooling over. Maybe if i do not have anymore mishaps with the L I will be able to save up for them. If you do get the mods that you are speaking of your girlfriend will really like driving the L when you are not around.
