Should I get another L? Have a Vette now
OK Guys...
I had a '99 L and sold it. Bought a 2001 Corvette Coupe (auto) with intake and exhuast mods. The car handles great, goes great...but... I think I miss my truck!
Has this happened to anyone else?
What I miss most about the L --- (in no order)
Got more looks than the Vette
More comfortable
Better build quality (not many squeeks or rattles in the L)
Engine sounded a lot better
I think the truck is actually more fun to drive!
Looks as if Ford has taken care of most of the things I didn't like about the L with the 2001-02 models.
Hmmm I'm thinking a 2002 Black L, dropped with chrome wheels might be in my future.

If I had the $$ that is what I would do in a heart beat. The Vette would make a great weekend car. That is one thing... around here (San Clemente, CA) on the weekends you see a TON of Vettes and maybe if you are lucky 1 Lightning. I was always getting the thumbs up in the L
If possible, I would wait until next years model come out and see what kind of improvements they make. If you don't like it then you can always buy a new 2002 that is still on the lot.

I have a 2000 Millenium Yellow 6 Speed C5 Coupe that sits in the garage while I drive my L. Oh, I take the Vette out occasionally, & I wish Ford would bite the bullet & spray the L's with a Yellow or more radical color scheme, but I simply prefer driving the L.
