Are these mods safe without a chip?

Is it ok to do an intake, long tube headers, and exhaust on a stock lightning? Or will a chip be needed to recalibrate the amount of fuel being used. Will these mods be ok with the stock programming? More air = more fuel needed? Or will that happen automatically without a chip?

You should be safe running with out a chip with those mods. Thought im not completely sure about with the LT headers.

I would think you'd be fine with longtube headers. Really the only thing on the exhaust that the computer sees is the O2 sensor.

he only reason you would need a chip with those mods is to see a gain in performance. Probably not going to see much performance gain without one.

Cool

I run long tube headers, my throttle body and my power pipe with air meter and I make over 380 RWHP. When I run a chip I can make over 400 RWHP. I do not run a chip all of the time.
