Insurance Cost

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting a brand new SVT Lightning. The pricetag doesn't discourage me... but I'm curious about the insurane. Does anybody know what these things typically do to your rates as opposed to maybe a Mustang GT or SVT Cobra? Thanks for any help in advance.

Insurance all depends on the person. Everyone is rated different, so comparing rates to other people is very unaccurate. I would price around if I was you. As a whole though, these beasts don't seem to be much more if any more expensive than having a regular old f150. Alot of insurance companies have not caught on to the fact that they are 5000lb rockets and still rate them as f150's. A good start would be to check with Progressive (800 288 6776). If they are not the cheapest price for you, they will tell you the rates from other companies.

Insurance isn't all that bad. State Farm insurance covers mine, they know it's an SVT by the VIN, but the insurance is still about the same as a reg F150. I am sure it's waaay cheaper than a vette or even a cobra mustang..........JR
