Can Ford Void a Warranty if....

there is rubber in the fenderwells?? If this is a sign of abuse to them, can they legally void it. Just a thought. Thanks for the response.

Ford can void your warranty anytime they feel like it. You can sue them anytime you feel like it.

On top of an unchipped PCM, we have to buy new fenderwells to put on when we take the L in for service???

But they're right. Ford can do what they want and you can do what you want. I've read of Ford not paying for a cracked rotor due to what appeared to be purposeful power braking.

But bottom line, there's a risk. Some techs are cool. Some guys pay their techs a little extra. Some dealerships will void your warranty if they think you sneezing inside your L will create extra boost.

Anyone stupid enough to bring there lightning into the dealer with fenderwells full of rubber is and idiot and deserves to have there warrenty voided. Why would you give them and open invitation to reject a warrenty claim or void it.? Ford has made it perfectly clear that they do what they want when they damn well please and some people just make that much easier for them by bringing modified trucks into the dealer. And when one truck comes in modified the dealer sees whats out there and looks for it on evey other truck that comes in. So when your warrenty gets voided for something as stupid as condoms in your center console thank the a**hole before you that just couldent take that chip and pulley off, and threw up the red flag.

Page 7 of my '01 Warranty Guide says:

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

Damage Caused By:

misusing the vehicle, such as driving over curbs, overloading, racing, or using the vehicle as a stationary power source

There are other reasons, but this one probably is the closest that would apply to your question.

You're right about them doing what they please. But go to their website and print out a copy of the Red 2001 doing a power braked smoky burnout. There is no disclaimer at the bottom of the pic.
