Question Any body have there carpet replaced

I have noticed that the carpeting is curling up around the brake and gas pedals. The dealer seems to think the replacement carpeting is longer than the one they install at the factory. Just wondering if any body can verify this. Thanks. Bob.

HUmmm thats interesting, my carpet is VERY matted looking, and ford is replacing it for me at nc next week (due to back window and front windo leaking so baddly)

Add in some new lightning matts and badabing truck will smell new again!

Take some pics of your 'curls' if you don't mind, be nice to see what to watch for...

Glad i caught this post before made my mind up on ordering new carpet, i just got done dynamatting the whole cab, and thought if i spent that much on soundproofing might as well spend 140 bucks to get new carpet, that OEM stuff looks like crap.

Where did you get your carpet from?
I am leaning towards the carpet from http://www.accmats.com/main.html but I havent made up my mind yet.

What problems/tips would you have for the carpet if you did ti again? I will probably order tonight or tomorrow, thanks for any info.

i cant really remember what site i ordered from, for some reason KarKarpets or something like that comes to mind, i did a search and few places came up, this one looked like one of the more nicely designed sites so i went with them.

only tip, leave the bolts in for the seats and seat belt harneses or any hole that is gonna get covered by the carpet, easier to find when carpet is in to do the trimming, i didnt, and had to use a nail from the back side to find where to trim..everything else is nicely covered by trim pieces and went smooth, there will be some wrinkles when first goes in from packaging, leave in sun or heated garage for as long as possible, but after a couple of weeks in car they will smooth out, so dont get to **** about them, i did and they worked out later....

L in Detroit,

I like you carpet, black adds some nice breakup of so much light gray.

I have to say I with you on this one, black carpet is the only way to go.

I just got black Lightning mats for mine and when the gray starts to wear on the hump, I am going to replace it with the black

CrazyOne, Sorry I do not have a digital camera yet. But the top of the carpet is starting to roll back.

I got a sample of the acc mats and was VERY disappointed in the quality. I am still trying to find something like the floor mats I put in through Fordsales. I think it's what is in the Mercedes cars and, unfortunately, everything else I have found pales in comparison.

If you find a high-end carpet.......please post about it.

Black would look good with my new seats. Nice cut pile like the Benz/BMW's.

L in Detroit,
I looked up KarKarpets and anything similar to it and could find nothing, where did you get the carpet from? Magazine, online?

Timburntire,
what was bad about the acc sample compared to other carpets you've seen? trying to decide...

Cool

I ordered the mats and carpet from an aftermarket automotive parts store. I'll see if I can find a better picture somewhere.
