Exclamation Anyone have problems with the Driver seat?

So I go to a dealer near me the other day who happens to have a black leftover 2001 Lightning sitting on the lot and I take it for a ride (more like a run at the track ). Sweet. I get back to the dealer, get out of the truck, and pull the handle to put the seat forward to check out the storage compartments and stuff and the seat wouldn't go back. They had 2 mechanics out there eventually and no one could fix it. I was not impressed. Anyone else have problems with their "L" or was this just a fluke?

Maybe because you dont pull the recline lever to make the seat come up?? There is alittle release lever in the back for that. You probably locked the seat up.....

Damn MOP, you're supposed to sit centered on the seat, not on the left edge. Unless your *** isn't centered.

If that seat is like the passenger one then it has to be moved all the way forward then recline it back as far as it will go and it will relatch properly.

mine works fine, its not an L, but the same seat with a different texture. Anyway, just push the little lever up on the back and it leans forward, Pull the handle up by where your legs go and the whole seat goes forward or back. Pull up on the lever on the side and you can recline back or to the upright position. and the little twisty **** increases or decreased the lumbar. I have had no problems on the 98 or 99, and my moms old 97 had no problems.

I guess it could have been something I overlooked, but I have moved plenty of truck seats (and car seats, for that matter) and never had a problem before. Not to mention the 2 mechanics at Ford came out of the garage and neither were able to get the seat back...guess they were out sick the day the seat training took place I'm just glad it's not an epidemic...everyone knows the old Italian superstition about leaving your seat forward when you walk away from the car, right? Besides, it's kind of hard to get comfy for a long trip when the seat is pushing you into the windshield.
