Angry Went to Circuit City and........

they said they wouldn't do my install! I have 4 Pioneer 6x9 speakers and they said they wouldn't cut to make them fit. Then, I had a Pioneer Double Din and they said it wouldn't fit and it was only for Japanese vehiciles. What's up with this! I know people have 6x9's and double-din's. WQhat do I do. Will they fit?

The Head Unit is Pioneer FH-P4000.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Take your factory radio out. There is a bar that runs down the back. You have to trim it some to make it work. Its not that hard but most shops hit you for a CUSTOM install charge....

Stock speaker cutouts are designed for 6x8 speakers.

6x9's would be VERY tight in our doors. In fact I don't really think they would fit without doing a SHI*load of modifying. i went through H**l getting my oversized 6.5's in my doors.

The front dash needs to have some material taken out of it to get a double din in.

Circuit City is NOT a custom shop, so I would suggest taking to a custom shop for your mods. (I work for CC two days a week, and we don't like doing custom(no money in it) nor are most of the associates trained for it.

For anything else they are great though, and even some cc shops do custom, just damn few. I only do custom on my own vehicles and i'd say 1 car a month that wants an amp rack, kick panel or whatever.

Just my suggestion though...I would also sell our 6x9's and put some 5x7;s in. Subs are a better idea for adding bass IMO...

6x9s will fit in the doors with only MINOR trimming. I have them in there and they are fine. In the rear I am using 5x7s, so I'm not sure what the fit is like back there.

So, if I went to a custom radio shop they would do the install? Does anybody know how much this would run me? And does anyone have 6x9's all the way around?

Thanks,
Brian

6x9's fit fine in the rear with a 1/2 spacer. You do have to drill new mounting holes, but that's it.
