Thumbs up

Continuing saga:

I got a call from the service manager this morning and he told me that the head is due in today. The bad head is off and they are ready and waiting for the new one.

He estimated that the truck will be done by tomorrow evening.

If this is all true, I'll be really impressed.

It was only last Friday that I had the truck towed to the dealer.

Great news Nak! Please keep us posted.

When you get everything back, you'll need to get the truck on the dyno. We (PALO) are setting up a dyno day in the next few weeks. Check out the forum and don't be a stranger.

Further news:

I just got a call from the service manager.

When removing my Bassani header from the old head, they broke the delicate graphite gasket inserts. They called "all around" to find replacements, but couldn't, so the manager called me to ask where I got them so he could get replacements. (This level of service is getting unreal)

I told him the name of the local shop, and that if necessary, I can bring in my original manifold to tide me over until I get new gaskets. The service manager wanted to see if he could get the gaskets immediately so told me not to worry about that now!

Again, the truck was towed in with the following installed:

- JDM filter kit, single chip, oil breather, billet throttle body.
- Bassani coated shorties

This is one mod-friendly dealer!

FlashSVT,

Thanks for the invite! I definitely want to go to the dyno. I've been going to Tom's Performance in Vancouver which is a long drive.
