pulley or nitrous on daily driver
I can't decide whether I should put a lower pulley on my truck or a 100 shot nitrous system. The truck is my daily driver and I need it to remain drivable. It also serves duty at the track so I need some more hp. I know with nitrous I have the power when I need it. How will a 4# or 6# pulley affect the drivability of my truck.
with nitrous you well only get the power when you need it which may be a good or bad thing...with a pulley it will be there all the time which again may be a good or bad thing. if you dont go crazy with the nitrous, in the end, both will probably put the same amount of wear on your engine...i may be way off but its just a guess. so if you like goin fast all the time and not just at the track...which most of us do...i would go with a pulley. but if you dont go fast unless your on the track, maybe you should go with nitrous. you will get a lot more power with nitrous than you will with a pulley. but a pulley is there all the time. you just have the think of the pros and cons of each and decide which is better for you.
hope this helps

I think you should go with a #4 pulley , then you know you have the power if you need it .
You never know when a chevy comes up beside you , if you do NOS you have to unscrew the bottle and push at the right time.
With a pulley you just have to put the lead foot down and wave him goodbye .

I ran a 2 lber for a while and then that wasn't enough. Ran a 3lber for 15,000 miles--at the track and on a daily basis--with no problems--it's docile until you put your foot in it. I now have a 5 lber---works just as well but you now have to change to a colder plug.
