Changing plugs. Quick ???
I'm about to change out my plugs with the NGK tr5's.
With the mods listed in my signature (2# pulley not the 5# and excluding NOS) what do you think I should gap my spark plugs at? I am thinking .42, but not 100% sure if this is best for the mods.

obtw, did you take your truck to the dealer yet?
Even RTKILLA knows (to his credit) to gap plugs before installation... sheesh
Regarding the topic at hand, .040 should be good. .035 seems a bit tight for a 2# pulley.

When me and rob did my plugs the frist time I have a 2lb lower, chip, filter, throttle body, fan kit, and I ran a set of TR6's at .035
. It seemed to work great on the truck and I went 12.7's with that all day long at the track at full weight. Best bet is to just try it out with both gaps. HEHEHEHEHHE
P.S. I just did a stock 01 this weekend, .040 gap on TR5's and the truck ran smooth. I would close the gap with a chip and pulley truck though.
I've been running my TR5's for a while now at .035 and I am happy with them. Whatever you like buddy, from .035 to .045 you should be OK. If you have any problems with the added boost go with the tighter gap.

I am using BR7's (see sig for mods). Since this is supposed to be a colder plug, and I do alot of around town stop-n-go driving, I gapped mine at .44 to try to avoid fouling them. Does anyone think this is too much. It seems to be running great at the track, and I haven't noticed any obvious problems with them yet other than a little loss in throttle response.
ASVTFordBoy, You should be fine. At that gap it should do just what you said help keep them from fouling out in your everyday driving. Do a few high speed runs with everything in the truck turned off so you can hear good and if theres no pinging or ticking than your in good shape. The only real way to know is to pull a few of the easy ones out in a week or to and see what they look like.
