Im trying to get the fuel filter off the Expedition, but cant figure it out! I released the two holding clamps, so the filter should pull away from the lines........no go!!! HELP!!

 

It requires a special tool for removing Ford fuel filter. Available at most auto parts store. A must for a Lightning owner for sure.

 

noooo, dont pull on it hard, if so, youve already bent the clips inside the fitting and you have to cut the filter off with a hacksaw blade and pick the insert out. If you havent pulled too hard already, you have to ge the right size fuel line tool, and actually push the lines onto the filter and slide the tool up in there and then pull the line off.

 

Whew!! Thanks for the help!!! I ran to the parts store and bought a pack of those little plastic tools! It made it MUCH easier!!
