Ok, I wana go try out the new mods and try to get a GOOD pass in this time. I have talked to a few guys. I am waiting to here from TOTALED, if he is going to be there you all should really come!! Nothing like seeing a 11 sec Lightning in person!!! Who thinks they can make it this time??? Or who wants to go??

I'm not sure if Totaled will have his next round of mods ready by them. I would go, but I'm waiting on a few parts first. Don't forget Cecil on the 22nd.

I e-mailed Jim too to see if his will be done. I will definately be there if the weather's okay. ICULOKN, could you bring your plug changin' tools with you? I started to change them(Denso's) and broke the electrode off one gapping it and found out I don't have enough extensions and such for the back plugs.

Jeff,

Well if it breaks this time I may have to pay you for a tow home. LOL I hate to think that but If something let loose this time it may be major. I have reshimmed the rear to make the pinion angle better, installed truck tracs, and a done a few stregthen things to hold it all together!!

4DThndr,

We could prob do them there. I will get my stuff together and bring it with me....

There was problem with the pistons coming in so they will not be there until Monday, which means there is no way I will be ready to run by the 16th If you guys would check out the shut down area (stopping distance) I would appreciate it. Have fun everyone - wish I could join you!!

Jim,

The stoping distance is short. You being a 11 sec truck I see the following. You will miss the last turn around, thats ok, plenty of room to stop still you just will have top back up around 30-50 feet to make the turn around. I did it once myself just to see if I was letting off to soon.

just bring some extra clothes, and if you break, i have a spare bedroom.

I hate to tell you this, but i had parts hold that broken d-shaft, and it was outside behind the shop waiting for me to get it (in the cardboard box) and the next morning when i though about throwing it in my truck, somebody had stolen it!!! They left the friggin box, and took it out. We think it was a junk metal guy that sometimes we see dumpster diving for stuff. I never figured anyone would mess with it.

ive done them before too, (imagine that) we had a 2000 roush f150 that had a paxton novi 2000 on it and those plugs were harder to get to than a L. But both of those trucks make a regular 5.4 a breeze. I also recently had to pull the plugs out of a 2001 navigator with the 32V heads, it wasnt as bad as it looked at first, lol

4d, long time no see, you remember me from VMP in july?

richard, when you get to town, you can meet me at my house or the shop and we can change your tires at the shop so you wont have to at the track

Did you have the white Lightning at the gas station when I was getting ice? I'm terrible with remembering people so bear with me if I got the wrong one.

I might be able to go. I have a new chip to try but I doubt it will be ready by then. I would like to check out my new mods to see if I picked up any mph anyway. Lariat4x4, I need to ask you a question about warranty work. It's something very small and simple. You've probably already done it 100 times. If you would email me @ lightningquick@msn.com I sure would appreciate it.
