I had the NGK TR6's with that pulley. THen I went to the Denso IT20's. They both worked well. BUt with the IT20's I had better throttle response & idle. If its a money issue get the NGK's....

I keep seeing more and more posts about how well everyone likes the TR5 compared to the TR6 which would be 1 range hotter plug, I currently am using the Denso IT20 and runs great with no problems so my question would be is anyone running the IT16 Denso in there truck because that would be running 1 range hotter also and might work out like the TR5 is for some people.Just a thought!

I like the tr-5 much better than the tr-6. I guess it depends on your level of mods. The 6's seemed a little to cold for my truck. Whatever plugs are used they need to be checked for proper burn.

Cool

Matt,

The Denso site says IT16 for the L. The IT20 is one step colder. The NGK site says TR6 for the L. I'm running TR5's right now and they run almost identical to the Splitfire's. The track opens next weekend and I'll be able to tell you if they turn the same MPH. They burn a good color too.

Don't change the plug according to the tune. Change the tune according to the plug. Tuning to a hotter plug will give you more consistancy with weather changes (humidity and such). Something to worry about down south.

For a daily driver the TR5, I've been down the same road and tried the TR6 and the 103's. The TR5 has much better idle, throttle response and don't foul out from everyday driving. I have the same basic mod's you are running.
