I am still waiting on my new 02 redL..should be here soon..I read this forum every night and i must say there are some cool L owners on here with a lot of info..I noticed many of u guys think the stock system sux and u have put your own system in. Just wondering if its a lower version of the Mach series they put in the Cobras and Saleens?..I'm 29 and would rather spend my bones on mods...Is the system that weak? BTW i wonder why there are not alot of people on the www.svtperformance.com forum...that is a sucky forum compared to this one..thanx for the advice and sorry for a freakin book.

 

Nope,, no where even close to a lower version of the mach stereo system,, beleive it or not, this stereo system they put in the L is absolutely terrible,, when i first listened to it i just remember it being soooo soooo distortion at anything over half volume level. i've pulled the speakers and sorce unit, and they are both of very low quality, you'd think it wouldn't take too much effort to add a mach system, but oh well,,, my truck sounds great by now.

i have a stock head unit and i think it's find,i did change the speakers to kenwoods 3 way and added a 100w pioneer amp. it looks stock and sounds great
