hey,

my heat won't turn down even when i put it to cold and put the a/c on and when i shift into drive my doors aren't locking like they used to. i think it might just be a fuse but i'm not sure.

just want to get some input before i take it into the dealer

I assume you already had all your "mods" on before this occurred.

Did you install your Fan Kit or have JDM install? The reason I'm asking if you installed it does your fan come on when you turn the air on? If JDM installed it they would have added the air conditioner relay and would have been plugged in correctly.

Not sure about your door locks.

Check your fuses also.

Good luck and before you take to dealer you might consider removing your mods, unless you have a mod friendly dealer.

My door locks used to actuate as soon as I put it in drive.
6500 miles later they sometimes delay 10 seconds or so.

There's two different fuse boxes, one under the dash, the other under the hood. Do yourself a favor and buy a fuse tester. They're not expensive ($5 or so). It'll save you from guessing if the fuse is good or not. Not all blown fuse are easy to distinguish.

Try this for your doors Probleminfected :

deactivate autolock
--turn key on
--press unlock button on door three times
--turn key off
--press unlock button on door three times
--turn key back on
--horn will chirp
--press unlock then lock ( horn chirps once when deactivated,
twice when activated)
--turn key off ( horn will chirp to confirm)

Note: complete all steps within 30 seconds or you will have to
start over

If it was the TB, then the truck would not run at all. It sounds like you have a short somewhere, maybe a grounded wire, one that was scraped and didn't notice????
good Luck

yeah it must be a short or a grounding problem.. i looked under the hood, didn't see anything visable.

so i wiggled around all the wires and replaced the fuse again, so i'll see what happens, if it keep happening back to the dealer with the bitch

Hey Infected!!!!
Do yourself and me a favor. Send the throttle body back to JDM (he can hit you with a restocking fee). It appears that your intent is Pure Malice. I know the quality of my products and what they can and cannot do and sad to say I did not build them for a Moron like you. I could give a Rats A$$ who wants to buy them. I would suggest that you take a remedial auto shop class, as the mechanical functioning of the TB will not interfere with the electrical functioning of the door locks. I've spent 30 years in automotive engineering working for the fine company that makes the Lightning and this BS is just too much to read.

wooooooo

claim down mike

my fuses are blowing i just wanted to know if they sensor in the t/b are overloading it

you make good products. and i don't know what your problem is, so do yourself a favor and take some anger management.

you saying that makes you look like an @ss hole.

and my intent was to ask a question i couldn't answer myself.

and BTW I LIKE YOUR T/B, INFACT ITS GREAT.

BUT YOU CAN GO SKREW (YES WITH A K) YOURSELF

oh and one more thing i know the t/b is a mechanical part but did you notice it also has a sensor on it ????? because i did

you make me soo pissed off too, act the way you should like a professional business man, not some chump that likes to put his customers down for not knowing as much as him

Have you ever heard of customer satisfaction. I'm sure the tuners wouldnt respond with something so harsh and negative. Chill out, he was just asking a question since he didnt understand the possibility of interference with this product. And yes there are some people who are not as mechanically inclined as yourself and have to ask questions like this. Just try to help them.

You cast aspersions on a product without doing any research. The TPS is connected to the throttle body but the wiring is not duplex to the door locks. All to often people make several changes at once and sometimes things do not turn out as intended. What should be done is an analysis and changes should be done one at a time so that we can understand what we are looking at. You should have checked with Jim at JDM and he would have helped you out. I just don’t care for the posting and calling the product in question. It is very much like posting that a chip from a tuner is no good because you may have failed to clean the service port correctly and your connection is intermittent. It just that simple. I don’t like it! I don’t do it! And I am not going to listen to it on a message board.
PS KitBuf
I don't advertise. I don't care if you buy. I make items for my enjoyment. That others may like them and want to purchase them is fine but in two different post the product was called into question and done right here on this message board. Simple courtesy would have been to contact the vendor or even me, that was not done.
