As i was cruising on the hwy at 70mph an older trans am was getting on the next exit down. I'd say it was a 70 model. Anyway as he was getting on he was looking over at my truck but couldn't see me through my tint. I'm in the fast lane and he merges next to my truck and i accelerate a little putting him behind me. Well as i'm listening to the radio minding my own business he shoots past me and I downshifted a gear and caught up to him very quickly when he got caught behind traffic ahead. I'm trailing his A$$ and as soon as he gets a small gap between cars he slides through and takes off. Well as i tried the dam gap closed up and i was stuck for a while. I knew i could've put this guy to shame because his WOT was nothing more than me dropping a gear halfway through acceleration. Anyway i get an open and catch up with him again and he slides through traffic again which is kinda hard for me to do with this big truck so i kept getting stuck..I am boiling by this time! And as soon as i get another open gap, i hawk him in now he's behind me, and someone ahead cuts me off, I look back in my rear view mirror and here he comes and this time he shoots past me and i shoot out from behind the car and as soon as i gain on him he exits off the next exit like a punk and looks over at me laughing.. I never even got to WOT on him and make him feel really bad...I just thought i'd share this with you guys and take my anger out on the post... Has anyone ever got in an unfair race like this and felt like you got the crappy end of the stick??

 

I'm sure most guys on this board don't race in heavy traffic. I'm glad no innocent bystanders got hurt with all the shooting in and out of traffic. Sorry for the short rant, but this is one thing that really chaps me.

 

He was just messing with you. You should've just let him go the first time. Zigging in and out of traffic will get you a ticket in a heartbeat in Atlanta. Or at least a visit from the cops at your house if someone rats you out on their cell phone.

 

Who cares what the other guy did... the "crappy end of the stick" is in YOUR mind.

Take it to the track next time, I've got a lot of family in ATL and would sure hate for your juvenile behavior to kill one of them.

hey, it wasn't like it was rush hour traffic..it was just a few cars on the high way...He was the one dipping close in between the cars like a maniac..I agree, i wouldn't put anyones life in danger but i was the one who waited until there was an open and clear to floor it...Yeah i was wrong for speeding, but you can't tell me that there isn't one L owner on this board who hasn't gotten on the highway an pegged the speedometer..If so they are just probably too shame to admit. Shoot me down as much as want but if the opportunity arises, for a quick run of fun i'm gonna take it....

 

Next time you will get him if you drive thet way alot you will see him again then next time hand him his ***!!! Show him what happens when you mess with a Lightning!!! Because he who laughs last laughs best!!!!

 

But by trying to keep up and race with him you were encouraging his behavior.

No offense to you but the majority of people on this board don't condone street racing when other cars are present, especially at higher speed.
