hi guys im a newbie i just purchased my 2001 lightning today 
i wanna start spending money on mods and i wanna know what you guys recommened i wanna build it up as a daily driver with weekend street and dragstrip racing in mind my budget right now is 3000.00 what would my e.t be hp.also how do i figure out when my lightning was built. thanks in advance

Call SVT to get your build number, just have your VIN ready. May I suggest you just enjoy your truck for a few thousand miles
before you start your mods. Let the motor break-in, most owners including myself, see an increase in performance after the 2500/3000 mile mark. After a break-in period, start with a chipnfilter
After that you will run into MAJOR traction problems, a good problem! Then pulley's and exhaust if you want the sound. Most owners report no performance gains with the exhaust, but it sure sounds better!! As far as tuners go, you can't go wrong with the major players in this field. Good Luck.
