Thumbs down Extra wheels

Why pay $1200 just to have an extra set of wheels. What are you going to do with the stockers......stare at em and say wow those are nice wheels Why save them in case you sell your truck.....so again you can have a set of wheels laying around to stare at

You can send em to Santa Ana. For $500 they chrome your wheels and ship them back to you w/ chrome center caps.

Flame suit on.........

How long does it take for the entire process? I am thinking of having mine done. Soap, I agree about having extra wheels laying around. I have enough Lightning parts on the shelf now.

Thumbs down

I was just going to ask if anyone had the phone number to Santa Ana. I had mine plated just over a year ago and 2 of them look very bad. One has most of the chrome coming off and the other is bubbling up. I only have about 3000 miles on mine. Always garaged and never in the rain. So I may end up having to replace mine totally. Maybe it doesn't always pay to take the cheaper way out.

Bad news is that some of these so called chrome shops cut corners in the plating process and though they may not stiff the major supply houses like Discount Tire or The Tire Rack. They can stiff you and make you beg for a replacement. Also some of the small wheel houses take the seconds that the major supplies refuse. You just never know. San to say but high lustre chrome that does not peel maybe an item of the past. If you want proof check the radius at the wheel spoke to rim interface and you can see for yourself.
