I have an ESP for my L that I am still paying for. My truck is at 25K and is less then 2 years old. I am selling the truck. Can I take the ESP with me and put it towards my new truck seeing as I have not broken out of the factory warranty? If so how can I switch over the warranty and can I hang on to the warranty even if I buy my new truck a month or two down the road?

Also my parents are buying an expedition that has some of the ESP left on it. How does the owner go about transferring that over to my parents?

On mine I had to cancel my original warranty wait like a month for a refund then use that money for my new warranty.. Instead of going thru ford for my warranty I get a seperate maintenance policy thru my insurance Company for half the price and like 1000.00 for 75,000 miles and 5 years with a 100.00 deductible. And no problems with mods I can take it to any shop I want!!

RA6870 - did you get a refund on the ESP warranty? How much did they give back?

 

They prorated the warranty I think I got back like 90% of my money back. I paid almost 1,800.oo for my original extended warranty from Ford I cancled it when Farmers quoted me a little less than 1,000.oo for the same thing and it doesn't matter where I take it to get worked on.

They told me if I was selling my truck I could sell it to the new buyer and it only costed a 50.oo transfer fee!! But I just found a better deal thru my insurance agent!!
