New Lightning owner/member here>>
Well I finally got fed up with the F250 and purchased a silver 2002 Lightning. Fantastic vehicle. I have been browsing F150online for a couple years, but decided to join the fun now. I recognize a few names here from other boards and events. I am a regular poster at Mustangworld.com as Stan. I also have a 2000 Saleen (well it started out as a Saleen, only the bodywork remains) that sees a whole lot of open track action. I also organize a few events (usually at Thunderhill) and have had a couple folks from this board who have participated. I do plan on also running the Lightning at open track events, so I am keeping an eye open for mods. I do have an event scheduled for March 28th at Thunderhill, please email me if you may be interested in participating.
Congrats on the new truck. This message board is a great source for info, so don't be shy with any questions. And if you are looking for goodies for your truck, check out our website listed below in our signature.
Stan,
Congratulations! Just in case you didn't know, there is also a Road Racing forum at NLOC.net and it's also a good place to post event info (most of the time, I'll cross post on event stuff). I did get your email regarding Thunderhill. But because I was traveling more than usual the last few weeks, your email slowly moved to the bottom of my inbox, so I forgot to respond to the Thunderhill event. I'll try and remember to get a check out this week for my spot. Have you talked with Steve or Randy at Westcoast lately? Stan/Ruslow and I met with them over Christmas about different suspension mods. Hopefully, Ruslow will have some spare time to continue on a couple new projects while he's preparing for Big Bend in Texas.
BTW, are you going to Laguna Seca on Monday?

Spike, thanks. Funny you mention Steve @west coast, I was there on Friday getting a Magnaflow installed and he mentioned you. Steve will probably be participating at the 3/28 event with his new pickup. He can't take the Z06 on the track for insurance reasons. (Yuck!). He was telling me about how your truck is lowered and amazingly he has the items in stock. I will be doing a few mods along the way, although I have not yet convinced myself to sell the mustang. Feel free to ask a couple people you may know who would be interested in the 3/28 event. Just have them email me.
Won't be able to make monday, have to be in LA. I did check out the national lightning site, very nice. I can see i will be going in debt with this vehicle too

Stan,
There are several in the Walnut Creek area that may want to go (let me know if you want the event posted or not on NLOC).
Westcoast did the suspension work last June and there are still a few more items I'd like them to do. Now that I found the right shocks to go with it and got them mounted, the suspension works well now. I have to go there soon because there are some sway bars I need to have Steve ship back east for fitting and testing on a new suspension setup for the Lightning.

George, I tried to get registered at NLOC but it keeps dropping me out at the email notification step, so I'll try later. Go ahead and post the event, I will follow up when I get registered. Thanks.
