02Silverbolt where did you go in houston. I know a couple dealers you could try to get a good deal on a lightning. I don't know if you can get them to do the X-plan, A-plan but they might but they won't charge you more than sticker. You can try Texan ford in Katy of I-10 or or Mac Haik at I-10 and the beltway. I talked to Texan on phone several times based on other recommendations from other people who had already bought lightnings there and they said that they do mark them up but would remove it. I personally visited Mac Haik ford looking for a black one, and after watching him sell the last black one he had (that I was hoping to get that night) along with a 01 Harley Davidson for the same woman, I talked the manager and he said that every dealership hikes the price just to see who will actually pay for it. I told him that I saw Central ford selling a 01 for 10,000 over sticker and he said that was nothing he had sold a Cobra R a couple weeks ago for $80,000. manager laughed and said they wanted it and that was are listed price after markup so thats what they paid, then said we have a silver one that I will give you for $500 under sticker.


P.S. the lady that bought the 02L traded her rims with the dealer for 00L style rims, She was from San Antonio and ordered the truck over the phone or online and that is what she requested

Well, after getting it off my chest & my heart out of my boots, I read all of y'alls posts & it made me feel better. It also reminded me that I have a close family friend in the auto business, so I called him this morning & within 10 minutes I had a phone call back from a dealer friend of his offering to sell me an 02 True Blue straight off the transporter for X-Plan !!! $29.131.94. Now I gotta get to other end of the country to get it, but hey I need an road trip anyway. So my days of posting as 02SilverBolt are over..I'll be back when I've gotten safely back to Texas.
