Yeah, seen it. But I think after putting wheels, engine and other stuff it needs you will probably end up paying mid to high twenties for the truck. Not worth it.

I would be very wary of this vehicle. The info states :

TRUCK HAS A GOOD TITLE. TRUCK WILL ROLL, BUT CAN NOT BE DRIVEN--TRUCK NEEDS ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, COMPUTER, WIRING, WHEELS & TIRES, TRUCK BODY & INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

This could indicate it was involved in a flood. I work for an insurance company and one of the states I underwrite is Georgia. They can "wash" the title to make it appear clean and no one would find out about the flood. Thats not to say the truck is bad if they cleaned it carefully and dried everything, it could still be a great truck, but just be careful.

This is down at MPS , Mustang Parts Specialities. They deal alot in Theft Recoverys , I have personally been down there . They have alot of clean theft recovers. also at 1 time had the mustang so called body in white , the stangs from the bone yard for race only. I'm sure it is a theft recover. It probally got stolen from the Atlanta Area and stripped

My first thought is that it was a recovered theft also. Those roll-back flatbed trucks making theft of vehicles very easy

I have been tlaking to him about this truck because I am interested in it. He said that he bought it used from Jacky Jones Ford in GA. The guy sold it to him after the wheels were stolen off of it. The guy at stangparts.com is using the drivetrain for a streetrod that is on order. At least thats the story as I know it.

Ive seen L engines for sale before, but not trannies.... anyone know where to get one and about how much it would cost?

My plans for this truck would be to build a new engine and tranny combo that had improved internals/ported and polished/tweaked.

Thanks
Jeff

10 grand is all the money for that truck. At that price you might be able to put it together and save yourself some cash but not much.

16 grand is out of the question. The truck only has a 18,500 rough book wholesale value. Which is the most he should have paid it minus the wheels. So if his story is true it would be a great deal for him if he can get 16 grand out of the truck the motor, trans, computer, harness and everything else he needs would only end up costing him around 2 thousand dollars. That would be a great deal for him, not such a good deal for the high bidder though.

He told you this? I have offered 13500, but he didnt take it. I have re-thought that though and would now offer 12000 if he was interested. Its not just the engine, its everything attached like the AC, and all the accessories as well. THat hurts a little bit.

At 12k, I could build an engine with upgraded internals, build a stout tranny and still be at market value on the truck....

Doubt he will come around though.

ii talked to him and said i wanted it for a race only truck and he was all about it.

If i decide to buy i'm gonna take a side trip there on my way to Bike week in Daytona and flash some cash and see what he will do.

Plus it will match my truck , so i can F!@# with the cops a bit!!!
