Anyone interested in a 4,500 mile 01 L longblock?

This is the motor that was just swapped out of my truck, had 4,500 miles on it at time of removal. Motor was pulled due oil consumption and smoke on start up issues. Compression tests and leak down tests proved normal, tech at SVT figured it was a valve guide problem so motor was replaced. I work at the dealer where the work was done and was told that I should be able to buy the motor for the core value (approx$1500?). I really don't have a need for the motor and my warranty is effect for a few more years so I should be safe .

This is a longblock motor, includes all internal pieces from the valve covers to oil pan including the water pump. It does not include any of the accessories, intake manifolds, intercooler, blower, exhaust manifolds or flexplate.

Just figured I would offer this to anyone that might need it to get their truck back together or was looking for a spare motor to rebuild to racing specs. If you are seriously interested contact me via email and I'll investigate this further.

Thanks,

John Kerr

I was going to jump on it, but I saw it didn't have the intake and stuff.

$1500 for a core? Seems pretty steep. Have seen several go for $500 or less in the same condition.

Silver-bolt $1500 was Ford's price on the core, not mine. I was just trying to pass a long a decent motor (probably just needs valve seals on three cylinders) to someone that might be in need of one.

Turns out I jumped the gun and am not allowed to sell the motor after all. Ford wants the motor back so back it goes, sorry if I got anyones hopes up.
